Training
ICE™ training will help you to become an effective ICE™ tool user and
to understand the ICE™ estimating methodology, as it relates to life cycle
costs, savings, and return on investment. The training classes are an
excellent introduction of the basic and advanced options of operating
the ICE™ tool to estimate life-cycle cost for existing or new programs.
Training session are held in-house in Dayton, Ohio or at your location.
Whether in-house or at your location, the instructors don't just teach,
they are actually consultants and designers with an intimate knowledge
of the tools.
ICE™ training includes:
- Overview of ICE™, the integrated tools and data systems, and the methodology
- The installation and set-up of ICE™ on a PC
- Set up of the connection to the cost models integrated in ICE™
- Review of the process to ask for the AFTOC database
- Review the basic ICE™ operations – all screens, all menus
- Review of example concepts estimated with ICE™ for different system types ) aircraft, electronics, propulsion, space vehicle, etc.)
Each ICE™ training session will include an overview session for I-CAIV
to familiarize attendees on FTI’s powerful system alternative decision
aid tool, including capabilities prioritization, military utility and
cost-utility-risk trade space for evaluating the alternatives.
