Curt Stahl has more than 18 years of information technology and business management experience supporting government and commercial ventures. Mr. Stahl joined FTI in 1998 as their commercial Information Technology Services Manager responsible for establishing and growing FTI's Commercial Services Divsion. In 2000, Curtiss was promoted to Director of Information Technology Solutions which includes the Commercial Services and Federal Services Division. Through his efforts the IT Operations Group has seen revenue growth of over 30% annually, acquired two competitive firms to merge and grow FTI's technical capabilities, and developed a strong Information Technology business base primarlily located on the California Cental Coast. Under his direction, FTI currently manages projects and service level support for over 200 commercial clients and provides all network engineering, managment and operations for of all the 30th Communications Squadron's Operational Network Control Center at Vandenberg AFB.
Mr. Stahl began his career after graduating from Chico State University in 1984 with Lockheed Space Operations Company joining the engineering operations group responsible for systems engineering and facility activation for the Vandenberg AFB Space Shuttle Program. This effort led to his subsiquent effort for site and system activation for the Weapon System Simulation Center (WSSC) at Lockheed's the Rye Canyon Research and Development Center. The facility served to perform simulated flight test and evaluation for the Lockheed Advanced Tactical Fighter program. Upon project completion Mr. Stahl joined the Northrop Advanced Sytems Group supporting the B-2 Bomber program supporting the systems test and evaluation group responsible for aircraft system checkout and verification prior to flight test and evaluation. Mr. Stahl joined the Lockheed Titan/Centaur Management Information Systems group responsible for Titan / Centaur Launch Complex Facility activation and was part of the design and implementation team responsible for development of a program cost control system which achieved C/SCSC Tri-Service certification in under six months. In 1991 Mr. Stahl joined bd Systems Inc. at Vandenberg AFB supporting the Titan Facility Activation Program office with technical oversight, project cost and schedule oversight, and oversight of several information technology projects. This experience and background provided the expertise to move into manageing information technology programs and staff.
In 1995 bd Systems was awarded the Technical Support for Computer Services (TSCS) contract at Vandenberg AFB. Mr Stahl was moved into a supervisor role and managed technical requirements and troublshooting of over 5000 workstations and managed over 12 technicians. This effort led to the consolidation of two Air Force contracts and Mr. Stahl was promoted to the Manager of Information Technology supporting both efforts managing 24+ IT staff providing network and small computer support in a helpdesk environment and served as the assistant Program Manager for the TSCS Program. Provided managment and oversight of Windows NT 4.0 and Novell servers; network connectivity in a LAN/WAN environment; maintaining two helpdesks supporting over 600 service requests per month; troubleshooting and configuring computer peripherals, software, and hardware on user workstations; troubleshooting user network connectivity, configuration, and E-Mail failures; install and configure new workstations; research and order new and replacement components; provide hardware and software support on Management Information Presentations Systems (MIPS). Shortly thereafter Mr. Stahl was promoted to the TCSC Program Manager with oversight of 35+ IT personnel maintaining all Vandenberg AFB users with IT support which includes: Network engineering and management of the VAFB broadband and fiber backbones supporting all base network communications including electronic mail; PC/Workstation maintenance for all 30th Space Wing users providing hardware maintenance, software configuration, and new workstation installs and set-up; Computer Resource Management; Provide user training in a classroom environment supporting all MS-Office programs and MS-Mail; Provide C4 systems security support including, COMPUSEC, EMSEC, COMSEC, and SATE security requirements.
All these efforts have led Mr. Stahl to his current position with FTI as Director of Information Technology Solutions which has grown significantly over his two year leadership. He has led the growth through increased sales and two recent acquistions of competitive firms and continues to gain market share in both the Federal and commercial markets.
Mr. Stahl is married with two sons and enjoys all sports. |
