Edward R. Palmquist is a retired Marine Corps Colonel with a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a second Masters Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies.  He has spent most of the last decade since retirement working business development or program management.

He was a Principal at SRA International prior to joining FTI.  Ed has worked business development in various positions from Director to Vice President at both small and large companies (Wheat International Communications Corporation, LINKMAX Communications Inc., General Dynamics Advanced Technology Systems, Ocean Systems Engineering Corporation, and SRA International).

On active duty in the Marine Corps, Ed had commands in the infantry, artillery, and communications.  His military specialties included being an unrestricted ground Colonel, a Communications Systems Engineer, a Communications Officer, a Joint Services Specialist, and an Acquisition specialist.  He also worked in programming and budgeting, in program acquisition, and program management.  He was the principal advisor to the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) on telecommunications (N-61) and managed a $1.2B annual budget when he retired.
