Dr. Daniel Bancroft

Director, Phenomenology Operations

 

Dr. Bancroft is currently serving as the Director of FTI's Phenomenology Operations division under the Operation Sensor Decision Making section led by Dr. Tom Murdock.  As Director, he leads a strong team of scientists and engineers in our Beverly, MA office.  Dr. Bancroft’s current technical responsibility is to support the Northrop Grumman and Raytheon Systems Company effort on the STSS Program. For STSS, he designed the test data analysis archive system, developed a model for tracking test data and test data analysis progress, developed a sensor telemetry database and associated trending tools, and designed an automated data processing pipeline. He is managing the development of an advanced set of radiometric data analysis tools that are currently in use by the STSS Program for the on-orbit data analysis. In addition, he serves as the TelemTrend® software product manager and he is overseeing the development of the I-SAT® tools for FTI. 

Dr. Daniel Bancroft has demonstrated significant leadership capabilities in several different scientifically related positions.  He was an acknowledged leader in the Midcourse Space Experiment (MSX) Data Management system and he played a significant role in assuring the success of the MSX Program.  He has contributed to the STSS, RR-AIIRS, VIIRS, SBIRS High and MDA RAMOS, BMDO VDC, and USAF Warfighter programs in addition to MSX.  Dr. Bancroft has extensive experience with the design and development of data systems, data system test programs, data tracking, data system modeling, and analysis software design.
