| Duties |
Lead the development and application of decision aids that support Department of Defense and Commercial programs. Serve as new business catalyst with government and commercial customers, mature customer relationships, initiate and develop new customer relationships, and understand warfighter priorities and how they align with economic pressures faced by our customers involved in complex defense systems. A history of working effectively with clients to create solutions is an important element in this position.
Project Management Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships, lead FTI team to meet program requirements, and develop related future opportunities
- Manage product development staff to include software development activity, configuration control, enhancement planning, and marketing efforts
- Establish, manage, and meet project cost, schedule, and performance milestones
- Develop briefings, literature, and demonstrations to show how existing FTI tools and methods can solve new customer challenges
- Identify risk items that may prevent system from meeting performance objectives or achieving user acceptance
- Interface with government and other contractor personnel to discuss project technical, cost, and schedule issues
- Prepare and conduct presentations and project reports for team members, management, and customers
Business Development Responsibilities
- Lead development of FTI Affordability related business plans to articulate strategy to adapt tools and processes to multiple customers
- Mature business plans by developing decision aid discriminators, identifying market segment needs, and defining implementation strategies
- Maintain close interface with customer technical organizations to ensure future decision support and analysis requirements are implemented effectively
- Support business development activities by:
- Preparing briefings and solution examples that show how FTI can apply existing software tools and processes to meet business needs
- Creating opportunities for new business through normal interactions with customers by identifying issues/problems for which FTI can provide solutions
- Support business development pipeline associated with maturing opportunities, from concepts to proposal generation
- Support preparation of proposals for SBIRs and other opportunities
- Call/visit potential customers to determine their needs and where FTI solutions might be applicable
Affordability Responsibilities
- Guide development of FTI Affordability planning and analysis tools
- Leverage existing customer relationships and FTI product solutions to identify new areas to apply FTI Decision Making Analysis processes and tools
- Manage multiple economic analysis, readiness assessment, and logistics analyses to mature decision support tools for government and commercial customers
- Oversee definition of structure for Total Ownership Cost assessments of complex military systems
- Oversee Economic Analysis and Business Case Analysis to include Return-on-Investment (ROI) for system acquisition alternatives
- Support clarification of affordability tool requirements based on communication with primary customers and stakeholders, and communicate those requirements to FTI development team
- Coordinate affordability software development and demonstration schedules with FTI development team
- Identify prospects with affordability challenges similar to current customers, and mature support strategies to meet those challenges
- Facilitate affordability focus group meetings with candidate organizations that could benefit from FTI Affordability infrastructure

| Education |
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree highly desired in a related field of study
|
| Experience |
- Minimum of ten years hands-on experience
- Experience with DoD affordability processes, data sets, and analysis capabilities
|
| Qualifications |
- Extensive knowledge of USAF, USA, and USN affordability organizations and processes.
- Ability to identify and utilize FTI analysis capabilities to solve DoD cost analysis and AoA initiatives.
- Strong program management experience with product development and application programs, relevant certification desired (e.g., PMP)
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with team members and customers at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in a team environment, managing military and commercial customer relations
- Established relationships and reputation in DoD and interagency environments
- Proven track record initiating new business opportunities and increasing revenue
- Experience managing DoD analysis activities
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Experience with DoD contracting policies and procedures
