Systems Engineers: Trade Analysis and Requirements Analysis |
| Duties |
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems; analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal
- Ensure logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements analysis and decompositions, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Support development, sustainment, and modernization efforts associated with the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program
- Travel to other locations as required in support of assigned tasks

| Education |
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related discipline
|
| Experience |
- At least 9 years of directly related experience; 7 years with Master's degree
|
| Qualifications |
- Considered an emerging authority
- Experience analyzing objectives and thresholds and allocating them down to subsystem and component levels
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office products
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- US citizenship with ability to obtain a government security clearance
- Experience with GMD development and sustainment desirable
- Requirements management tool experience, such as DOORS or Rational Rose, a plus
