Scientific Programmer

Duties	Promote best programming practices through choosing intelligent software architectures and development requirements Develop software implementations of mathematically complex analysis algorithms Construct intuitive, user-friendly, and attractive GUI front-ends Design scalable, customized databases, with stored procedures and triggers Program algorithms and auxiliary code for standalone and integrated data analysis tools Travel to customer sites 25-50% of time to support software and data analysis
Education	Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical discipline
Experience	Minimum of 4 years related experience
Qualifications	Strong technical background with intermediate to advanced scientific programming skills in C/C++ and software architecture experience Programming experience in one or more of the following is also desired: .NET, SQL, XML, MATLAB, and IDL Graduate-level foundation in mathematics and one of the physical sciences, especially computational physics/engineering, with an understanding of statistics Ability to work both independently and together with other scientists in the company Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to apply critical thinking skills to solve complex problems US citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance
