| Duties |
- Promote best programming practices through choosing intelligent software architectures and development requirements
- Develop software implementations of mathematically complex analysis algorithms
- Construct intuitive, user-friendly, and attractive GUI front-ends
- Design scalable, customized databases, with stored procedures and triggers
- Program algorithms and auxiliary code for standalone and integrated data analysis tools
- Travel to customer sites 25-50% of time to support software and data analysis

| Education |
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical discipline
|
| Experience |
- Minimum of 4 years related experience
|
| Qualifications |
- Strong technical background with intermediate to advanced scientific programming skills in C/C++ and software architecture experience
- Programming experience in one or more of the following is also desired: .NET, SQL, XML, MATLAB, and IDL
- Graduate-level foundation in mathematics and one of the physical sciences, especially computational physics/engineering, with an understanding of statistics
- Ability to work both independently and together with other scientists in the company
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills to solve complex problems
- US citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance
