The re-designed Integrated Cost As an Independent Variable^® (I-CAIV^®) decision support tool and supporting process brings considerably more flexibility to the community using the I-CAIV^® 2.7 tool  It provides the decision maker faced with the selection of the optimal architecture, system, upgrade, portfolio assessment, or course of action with a structured approach to set up a decision framework.  The I‑CAIV^® tool provides a multi-dimensional, interactive, shared decision space that blends automated quantitative and qualitative alternative scoring against user defined and weighted decision criteria to produce ranked solution sets.  The tool also facilitates real-time “what if” analysis.
