A year after moving its headquarters from California to the Dayton area, Frontier Technology Inc. has added more than a dozen employees, increased its revenue by nearly 50 percent and acquired new office space to support the company’s rapid growth and that’s only the beginning. Frontier Technology, a Beavercreek-based technology firm that provides services to the U.S. Department of Defense, hired 16 new employees at its local office in the last nine months, and is looking to bring on another 20 to 30 people over the next year to 18 months. If the hiring spree continues as projected, the company would jump from 40 people to as high as 70 employees. With more employees comes the need for additional space. Around six months ago, FTI rented a spot on the third floor of its building at 4141 Colonel Glenn Highway to go along with its first floor space. The expansion grew the company’s office footprint from 5,190 square feet to 13,035 square feet, a 250 percent increase. Now, the tech firm is looking to occupy even more square footage on the building’s third and second floor. The company’s growth isn’t just tied to the Dayton region, however. Frontier Technology’s footprint extends to 20 states, including offices in California, Virginia, Massachusetts and Alabama. The firm has hired 97 people since July, and its employment base now stands at about 215 workers company-wide.
