What is Honor Flight?
Mission: To transport America’s Veterans to Washington, DC to visit those memorials dedicated to honor the service and sacrifices of themselves and their friends.
Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. They transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.
According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, an estimated 640 WWII veterans die each day. Our time to express our thanks to these brave men and women is running out.
What is FTI’s involvement with Honor Flight?
Frontier Technology Inc. is fully sponsoring our second Honor Flight through the Honor Flight Dayton hub on 7 September 2019. As a defense contractor for over 35 years, FTI provides contractual support services that benefit our military people and programs in many ways. Also, many FTI employees are prior service, so we are passionate about honoring all our veterans.
We will be providing numerous Guardians to accompany the vets, both on the flight from Dayton and joining the group in DC from other FTI offices. FTI has more than 350 employees in 22 states. We are proud to be a strong financial sponsor, joining our employees from across the company who have been donating their time and personal resources for several months in support of this Honor Flight.
This is consistent with who we are, as expressed in our beliefs: Core Values, Commitment, Compassion, and Charity (the 4 Cs of FTI).
