We would like to highlight Abby Guimond, FTI’s D&I Software Developer/Engineer Intern, for her continuous hard work and ability to surpass expectations during her internship. Residing in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Abby will be going into her senior year at the University of Michigan, studying computer science with minors in mathematics and international engineering. Abby enjoys participating in extracurriculars around campus including the Mars Rover Team, as part of the autonomous navigation team, and playing frisbee on her school’s Ultimate Frisbee Team. In her spare time, Abigail enjoys reading, gardening, and playing frisbee.
During her internship, Abby has developed an understanding of the entire image processing chain system. In addition, Abby has learned about troubleshooting and strategic problem solving when handling software setup. Abby’s favorite part so far into her internship was the intern luncheon which allowed Abby to meet fellow interns, eat lunch together, and participate in exciting online game competitions with her superiors and team members. For the remainder of her internship, Abby is excited to learn the procedures and skills to work with a massive codebase.
