We’d like to thank Amy Hong, FTI’s Software Developer/Engineer Summer Colorado Springs Intern, for all her hard work she’s done so far into her internship! Amy is enrolled at Colorado School of Mines where she recently finished her undergrad and is planning to start her master’s this fall. At school, Amy enjoys participating in extracurriculars such as the Society of Women Engineers, the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers, and Tau Beta Pi (an honor society promoting excellence and leadership development for engineers). In her spare time, she enjoys reading mystery novels, watching movies, and pranking her roommates.
So far into her internship, Amy’s shadowed different roles within her team, has learned the basics of RAE tools and SAFe practices, and has discovered new possible career directions to pursue after meeting with FTI’s cyber team. Amy’s favorite part about FTI has been the positive and motivating atmosphere that she feels lucky to be surrounded by every day, this atmosphere also made her first few weeks at FTI extremely comfortable. Further, into her internship, Amy is excited to gain more experience programming, learning how teams operate in the business world, and acquire insight into different opportunities which are available for software engineers.
Amy has been an exceptional addition to our internship program. She’s continually provided curiosity and resourceful ideas to the team. Thank you, Amy, for all your great work so far! We appreciate you!
