We would like to present Brynn Shaffer, FTI’s Technical Writer Intern. Brynn is from San Diego, CA, and will be a senior this fall studying journalism and international relations at Loyola Marymount University. Brynn currently works for her school’s newspaper as a copy editor and will soon be the vice president of the newly founded chapter of Society for Professional Journalists on her campus. In her spare time, Brynn enjoys photography, fashion, and traveling. Brynn even lived in Spain for a year in high school.
So far into her internship, Brynn has enjoyed immersing herself in the FTI community. She has felt very welcomed by her team and appreciates all the guidance she’s received thus far. Brynn finds the engineering environment to be invigorating. Throughout her internship, Brynn continues to learn about Space Force verbiage, has drafted a contractor performance assessment report (CPAR), and has been utilizing professional skills which she’s picked up from her coworkers. Since Brynn hopes to become an aerospace reporter, she is looking forward to strengthening her understanding of aerospace, familiarizing herself with various governmental protocols and memos, as well as untangling technical jargon to be understood by a wide audience.
