FTI would like to present Nik Delgado, FTI’s Software Developer/System Engineer Summer Intern! Nik is from Colorado Springs and is an incoming senior attending the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs studying Computer Science. On campus, Nik is part of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Club and the NASA Great Lunar Expedition for Everyone Club, which is currently building a microsatellite that will be sent to the moon in 2023. In his free time, Nik enjoys camping, backcountry skiing, and hanging out with friends.
Throughout his internship, Nik has built a metrics dashboard, designed python code, and has learned more about software tools, including Pytest, Git, and Azure DevOps. Nik’s favorite part about the internship so far has been the project he is working on, as it is very fast paced, with many opportunities for him to create advanced software. So far into his internship, Nik has especially appreciated the help from his team, particularly, Dave Kalivoda, who has helped him improve his software design skills. As a result, Nik shares he’s become a better software developer.
