The Space domain encompasses the planning, integration, assessment, and implementation of global space operations to deliver space capabilities to the DoD and the Nation. C5ISR (Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Combat systems [C5], Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance [ISR]) represents the networks and infrastructure to support the movement of data between platforms and nodes to enable effective military operations. Space mission areas of Situational Awareness and Ballistic Missile Defense include the software, processing architecture, algorithms and EOIR sensor knowledge to characterize and track objects in space. Space & C5ISR includes the system architectures, interfaces and integration requirements, data flows, and modeling ability for effective deployment of capabilities and operations to the warfighter.
FTI’s Space & C5ISR Capabilities: FTI’s Space & C5ISR is focused on capabilities to ensure the DoD can conduct operations in, from, and to space. FTI’s space portfolio includes systems engineering, space acquisitions, specialty engineering, digital engineering/ecosystem, DevSecOps, testing, and integration of space communications services support for improved collaboration and informed decision making. Additionally, FTI has developed purpose-built software solutions to help with sensor calibration, sensor modeling and simulation and EO/IR analysis and exploitation.
Examples of FTI Core Space & C5ISR Tasking:
- DevSecOps and Space System Integration:
Provide DevSecOps, testing, cybersecurity, and systems engineering support to SMC’s Enterprise Ground Services (EGS) program and horizontal integration efforts to integrate stovepipes, modernize ground systems, and ensure resiliency. - Systems Engineering and Specialty Engineering Support:
Deliver Space System Engineering; DoD and Space Acquisition SMEs; System of Systems Integration (Launch, Satellite, Subsystems, Payload); Mission Assurance; Digital Engineering & Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE); Additive Manufacturing; Architecture: DoD and Open Systems; Specification and Standards; Test and Evaluation; Operational Transition; and Mission Management & Integration products and services supporting the Portfolio Architect and Atlas Corps organizations. The variety of efforts/projects support the Government customer’s decision-making processes. - Space Situational Awareness and Ballistic Missile Defense:
Provide software, electro-optical infrared (EOIR) modeling and simulation, algorithm development and analysis to support key EOIR space missions.
Cross Market, Horizontal Solutions:
- System of Systems (SoS) Integration
- DevSecOps and Agile Transformation
- Integrated Test and Evaluation
- Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering
- Architecture Design and Development
